De Ligt is at the centre of this summers biggest transfer tug-of-war, with a host of Europes biggest clubs all battling for his signature.
Barca had long been the favourites to sign the 19-year-old, having verbally agreed a deal back in April, but PSG – just as they tried to do with Frenkie de Jong – have hijacked the deal.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the Ligue 1 champions are utterly determined to get their man and have offered him by far the most lucrative financial package.
De Ligts agent, Mino Raiola, met PSG sporting director Antero Henrique in Paris this week, while the club also flew his girlfriend, Annekee Molenaar, and mother, Christiane, to the French capital.
The pair were given a tour of the city in blacked-out cars to avoid being seen and saw several potential properties they could move into.
However, De Jongs girlfriend, Mikky Kiemeney, was also given the same treatment, looking at apartments in Paris, only for the midfielder to opt to join Barcelona instead – and despite their smaller contract offer.
