Havering (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Havering’s food inspectors checked many local places in June–July 2025; most got top hygiene scores of 5, including Greggs, KFC, Aozora Sushi, McDonald’s, schools, and nurseries.
As This is the Local London News reported, environmental health officers in Havering have been checking local food businesses. They’re checking if the businesses follow food hygiene rules. They use the Food Standards Agency’s rules. These rules check how clean places are, how food is handled, and safety systems.
Businesses get a rating from 0 to 5. 5 is the best, meaning “very good.” The checks make sure food is safe and made in clean places. Many places in Romford, Hornchurch, Upminster, and Rainham were checked. Many got the top rating.
What makes Havering’s cafes and schools so clean?
According to officials, A lot of places got the top score. Places like Aozora Sushi in Hornchurch, Greggs in Romford, and Costa Coffee in Romford did very well. BrewDog in Upminster, the Co-op in Romford, and the Esso station in Rainham also got good scores. Eurest at The Royal Mail Centre and Gidea Park Preparatory School & Nursery also showed they care about food safety.
Havering’s health officers keep checking local food places to make sure they’re safe and clean. These checks happened in late June and early July 2025. Some of the places that did well are KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and McDonald’s. Also, places like Joe & Jam cafe, Griller Elm Park, and Ped’s Pizza got good scores.
Schools and nurseries, like HES @ Brady Primary School and New Beginnings Day Nursery, also did well. Restaurants like The Clove South Asian Restaurant and The Goose also got high scores. Even shops like Shell Romford and Wenzel’s the Bakers did well.
