Newham (Parliament Politics Magazine) – A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed outside Newham Council headquarters. Police are investigating the incident and the area was cordoned off.
Just before eleven p.m. last night (August 1), police were summoned to Barking Road.
After receiving medical attention for stab wounds, a 26-year-old male was sent to the hospital.
His wounds are not believed to be dangerous or life-altering.
Although no one has been arrested, investigations are ongoing, and more police patrols are anticipated in the region.
Outside the stores across from Newham Town Hall, the Newham London Borough Council’s offices, a cordon was set up.
A fourth man is in the hospital after Newham saw four stabbings since Monday.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen anything to come forward.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called at 22:52 hrs on Friday, 01 August to reports of a stabbing in Barking Road, E6. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 26-year-old man suffering stab injuries.
The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were declared not to be life-changing or life-threatening. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue and there are additional patrols in the local area.
