Which south east London restaurants previously won Food Awards titles?
There have been winners from restaurants in southeast London in past Food Awards titles that identify the significance of the region’s food landscape.
As an example, Saka Maka in Hither Green, was given South London Restaurant of the Year at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2025, is an example of a restaurant with regional significance. Troia in Southbank won the Turkish Restaurant of the Year title, also another prominent restaurant for the regional food scene in ethnic food.
There are several public and local industry awards for regional winners for associated prestigious UK food awards in Peckham, Lambeth, and Crystal Palace across a few other regional significance, however, Saka Maka, Troia, and The Bombay will be mentioned especially with regard to significant winners in 2025 food award events that have been corroborated by both industry and public voting.
