Ealing (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Lidl’s Hanwell store has reopened after a major expansion, offering increased range and improved convenience as shoppers gear up for the Christmas season.
The store on Uxbridge Road in Ealing, which opened in 1998, will close in late spring (June 2025) to allow construction to commence on an expansion that would take over the neighboring premises formerly owned by bargain retailer Poundstretcher.
The multimillion-pound redevelopment has enlarged the shop’s sales area by more than 50% and employed 42 people, according to Lidl.
According to Lidl, the redesign allows the branch to stock a broader choice of its low-cost products, as well as an enhanced in- store bakery and an expanded Middle of Lidl department. Monday thru Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The refurbished store now has 6 staffed tills and 12 tone- checkouts. The company verified to EALING.NEWS that clients will be allowed to park for up to three hours without any adjustments.
