Inglewood (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Cam Spencer scored a career-high 27 points, and Jaren Jackson Jr. added 31 as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 121-103.

As reported by Doug Padilla of AP News, Jaren Jackson Jr. delivered 21 points in the first half on his way to a 31-point performance, while Cam Spencer recorded a career-high 27 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies past the Los Angeles Clippers 121–103 on Monday night, December 15.

How did the Memphis Grizzlies overcome the Clippers despite injuries and struggling stars?

Jaylen Wells contributed 16 points, and newcomer Cedric Coward added 12 as the Memphis Grizzlies secured a victory over the Los Angeles Clippers for the third time in under three weeks. Ja Morant also tallied 12 points in his second game back following a calf injury.

Despite Morant’s return to the lineup, Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey continued his absence due to a left ankle injury, missing his second straight game. Santi Aldama started at center but managed only three points and two rebounds.

Kawhi Leonard finished with 21 points, and Kris Dunn contributed 17, but the Los Angeles Clippers still dropped their 12th game in 14 outings.

For Los Angeles, James Harden managed only 13 points, while John Collins and Jordan Miller each added 10, marking the Clippers’ eighth straight home loss. Their most recent home victory came on October 31.

Just before the third quarter reached its midpoint, Kawhi Leonard’s three-pointer put the Los Angeles Clippers ahead 64-63. From there, the Memphis Grizzlies surged ahead with a 9-0 run to take a 72-64 lead and carried a 90-76 advantage into the fourth quarter, with Jaylen Wells contributing four points during the run.

Cam Spencer poured in four three-pointers in under six minutes of the fourth quarter and finished with a career-high seven long-range shots on 10 attempts.

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 20 points for the first time in six games, following an average of 10.2 points over his previous contests. He connected on 13 of 18 shots from the floor, shooting 72.2 percent.

Memphis dominated the second quarter, connecting on 59.1 percent of its shots and building a 31–21 advantage to enter halftime with a 56–48 lead.

On the night, the Memphis shot 52.3 percent from the field and made 16 of 39 three-point attempts (41%). The Clippers shot 46.2 percent from the floor and committed 19 turnovers.
