USA (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Kai Trump has commented on speculation about her grandfather seeking a third term, saying much could change before 2028.
In her first podcast interview since Donald Trump’s resounding victory in 2024, the social media-savvy 18-year-old spoke with influencer and close Trump ally Logan Paul.
She bared that her granddad has no intention of running again on the Impaulsive podcast. She did not, still, entirely disband enterprise that he may seek an unknown third term in office, pointing out that the election was still three times down.
Trump has conceded in public that it’s questionable he’ll be permitted to seek a third term.
However, Kai told Paul that because she is frequently accompanied by Secret Service personnel for safety, her grandfather’s new position in the White House has already produced issues in her social life.
“To be honest with you, it’s really awkward when you’re sitting and going on a date with a guy and they’re two tables behind you,”
she told Paul, adding that it was a “little weird.”
“I try my best not to let it bother me,”
she continued.
“Especially the past year, since he’s become President, I’ve had to learn that, yes, they’re following me, but also to focus in pretending that they’re not there.”
Kai, a social media influencer and competitive golfer, is well- known for her appearances in videos with her forefather at the White House.
She has 1.4 million followers on her own channel, and although the videotape of her meeting Paul was posted lower than a day ago, it has formerly entered close to 200,000 views.
She also discussed her emotions regarding former Vice President Kamala Harris, who her grandfather defeated in the 2024 election, on Paul’s show. There is no “bad blood” between her and the Democratic grandee, who is rumored to be preparing a second presidential run in 2028, she told Paul.
“To be honest with you, I stay out of politics completely,”
Kai said when Paul asked her opinion on Harris.
“Like, I would never run and I don’t want anything to do with politics.
‘I feel like politics is such a dangerous thing, and I think if both sides met in the middle, everyone would be so much more happier, and I think there’s radical left, there’s radical right, and there’s a lot of people who get too extreme.”
She also accused social media firms many of which are owned by Elon Musk and other Trump supporters of escalating political polarization.
“And that’s where social media really ties into it because social media kind of makes your Instagram or feed be one way or the other, and there aren’t many things on social media if you’re very much in the middle,”
she remarked.
“Some people buy into it too much, and I think that kind of drives some people crazy.”
Kai infrequently discusses her political views in public, although in 2024 she spoke to the cult at the Republican National Convention. Months before her forefather’s inviting electoral palm, she informed the crowd that he was” just a normal grandpa.”
What constitutional steps would be needed to allow a third term?
Repealing or amending the 22nd Correction is the only clear indigenous path to allow a third tagged presidential term.
A two- thirds supermajority vote in both the House and Senate would be demanded to propose repeal, followed by ratification by three- fourths( 38) of state houses, an extraordinarily high bar last met for the 27th Correction in 1992 after 203 times.
Race schemes( e.g., Trump as VP also thrusting) fail under the 12th Correction’s eligibility clause and settled precedent;non-consecutive term expansions proposed by Rep. Ogles also bear full correction, rendering Trump’s” styles” hints fairly dubious absent congressional and state agreement doubtful in a disunited country.
