Southwark (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Charter School North Dulwich, Southwark, celebrates outstanding GCSE results as BBC Social Media Team captures the excitement of students opening their envelopes.

Today, the National BBC Social Media Team was present in North Dulwich, Southwark, to showcase the school’s accomplishments to millions of online viewers.

Charter students shared their plans to celebrate their achievements at the Reading Festival on the BBC’s TikTok account.

Headteacher, Mark Pain, said:

“Our students have achieved an exceptional set of GCSE results this year, so it was wonderful to see them sharing their successes today.

We have seen achievement at the highest level, with over half of all exams sat securing a Grade 7 or above, and almost 20% of grades awarded at Grade 9.

This is a testament to the hard work, perseverance and resilience shown by these incredible young people.”

The following 11 students achieved all Grade 8s and above:

  • Samuel De La Mare (8 Grade 9 and 2 Grade 8) 
  • William Noden (8 Grade 9 and 2 Grade 8) 
  • Chloe O’Sullivan (8 Grade 9 and 2 Grade 8) 
  • Alice Galezia (7 Grade 9 and 3 Grade 8)

In English and math, the school’s key disciplines, 86% of students passed.

Additionally, 60% of students earned a Grade 5 or higher in English, math, science, humanity, and a language, as well as the English Baccalaureate.

Additionally, students showed exceptional growth and achievement in the areas of music, art, drama, and food technology.
