Croydon (Parliament Politics Magazine) – As restoration continues at Crystal Palace Park in Bromley, a festive programme including wreath-making, a charity fun run, and an arts fair will draw visitors this winter.
A brand-new, dinosaur-themed adventure playground is being built in Bromley’s Crystal Palace Park and is expected to be finished by the middle of next year.
As part of a significant project being carried out by the Crystal Palace Park Trust, regeneration work is taking place throughout the park, with some areas gated off.
In the interim, the park is still hosting events, excursions, and activities, such as events in the award-winning Crystal Palace Subway and guided tours.
The park’s dinosaur sculptures, which were the first in the world to represent these ancient “monsters” when the park opened in 1856, served as the model for the new playground’s design.
“As children play, they will find elements of dinosaurs everywhere to spark their imagination and creativity,”
the Trust says.
In order to allow” children to explore, challenge themselves, and play together at their own pace,” the playground will have sensitive-rich settings with dynamic play equipment and well- defined routes.
It’s anticipated that all demesne revivification systems would be completed by summer 2026.
further incontinently, there are still events taking place in and around the demesne, similar as

Are there any transport or parking changes during the restoration works?
During the restoration works at Crystal Palace Park in Bromley, there are some transport and parking changes to accommodate construction conditioning while icing safety and access. Some parking areas within the demesne may be temporarily closed or reduced in capacity to give space for construction zones, outfit, and accoutrements .
Business inflow within and around the demesne could be acclimated with signage and walls to direct callers safely down from active work spots. Pedestrian access to the demesne and its installations is maintained wherever possible, with alternate routes handed when sections are closed for restoration.
Callers are advised to check for updates and plan travel consequently, using public transport or near alternate parking if necessary. These measures aim to balance ongoing restoration progress with minimizing dislocation to callers and maintaining demesne access safely throughout the downtime jubilee events and beyond.
