UK (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Elon Musk criticized Sir Keir Starmer’s government, claiming only a few businesses are willing to invest in the UK under the current administration.

Mr Musk, a tech mogul and prominent ally of Donald Trump, argued that the “current administration” is responsible for not bringing investment into Britain.

In reply to a request from Scottish politicians for a Tesla gigafactory, Elon Musk stated on X that Tesla was deterred from expanding into the UK due to the Labour government.

He posted, “Very few companies will be willing to invest in the UK with the current administration.”

This criticism risks undermining Sir Starmer’s efforts to enhance business investment, an essential element of his economic growth plan.

The British Prime Minister had clashed with Mr Musk following the billionaire’s warning of an unavoidable ‘civil war’ in the UK.

As reported by the Independent, Elon Musk targeted Sir Starmer with the hashtag #TwoTierKeir, while involving a controversial right-wing theory on police bias against protestors.

While the Number 10 has rejected Elon Musk’s evaluation of government policies, and decided to avoid a public confrontation with the Tesla owner and newly elected president ally.

Sir Keir Starmer’s official spokesperson stated, “I’m not going to kind of get into commentary on individual comments, but if you look at what’s happened since the election, you’ve seen the £63 billion of additional investment from the investment summit.”

He added, “You’ve seen the Government respond to some of the businesses’ key concerns in the UK, which is lack of stability, and the Government’s brought back that stability, both politically and economically.”

According to the spokesman, the Labour government is committed to enhancing growth and business interests.

Sir Keir Starmer expressed in September his willingness to receive investment from Tesla after a dispute over not inviting Elon Musk to the UK’s investment summit.

Mr Musk responded, “I don’t think anyone should go to the UK when they’re releasing convicted paedophiles in order to imprison people for social media posts.”

The Tesla and X owner has been a strong critic of Keir Starmer, alleging that his policies are against the freedom of speech in the UK.

Earlier this month, the Trump close ally and Reform UK party leader met at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion, amid speculation that Elon Musk plans to donate $100 million to Farage’s political party.

Experts say if this is confirmed that he’s donating this amount, it would be the biggest funding in the history of Britain’s elections.

Many top businessmen and Tories party members think Elon Musk might donate the money as “f*** you Starmer” move in his ongoing dispute with Sir Starmer.

Mr Musk has repeatedly shown support for Reform UK and is planning to donate a large amount to Nigel’s party. The  Reform leader has called him “very supportive” in the past.

The prime minister believes foreign firms are optimistic about the UK, highlighting the £50 billion promised during the October investment summit.

Before Christmas, the British prime minister, Chancellor Rachel and the business secretary have written a collective letter to the UK’s major regulators to propose reforms to boost economic growth.

These major regulators include the Environment Agency, the FCA, Ofgem and Ofwat to give ideas.
