UK (Parliament Politics Magazine) – FIFA is making a gaming comeback through a new Netflix-exclusive title, marking a major shift in its digital strategy after its EA Sports split.

FIFA hasn’t been present in video games since, but now Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive revealed that they will be reintroducing officially branded FIFA soccer in a new game that will be released in 2026.

The unidentified FIFA soccer game is scheduled to appear “this summer,” right before the FIFA World Cup 2026, and will be accessible through the Netflix app for iOS and Android devices. The new game is described in the official announcement as a “newly reimagined FIFA football simulation game,” but no further information was given.

“This major collaboration is a key milestone in FIFA’s commitment to innovation in the football gaming space, which aspires to reach billions of football fans of all ages everywhere in the world and will be redefining the pure notion of simulation games,”

FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in the official announcement.

Our reimagined game truly marks the beginning of a new era of digital football.”

The FIFA collaboration is Netflix Games’ most recent big move; in recent months, the company has added Grand Theft Auto and WWE 2K to its service. Netflix recently reached an agreement to buy Warner Bros. for $82 billion, so its parent company hasn’t been silent either.

Andy Kleinman, a former executive at Zynga, and Casper Alexander Daugaard lead Delphi Interactive, a development studio in California. Additionally, the company and IO Interactive are collaborating on 007: First Light.

There will be more details about this new FIFA soccer game “come in 2026.”
