Hammersmith And Fulham (Parliament Politics Magazine) – A serious crash at 11am in Hammersmith and Fulham today causes road chaos as police close Shephard’s Bush Green. Emergency repairs follow a burst water main.
The road is closed from A402 Goldhawk Road (Shepherd’s Bush Empire) to A4020 Uxbridge Road/Wood Lane, according to online traffic source Inrix. Traffic is congested on the south side of Goldhawk Road and Shepherds Bush Road, and drivers are turning back along Holland Road from the Holland Park Roundabout.
Additionally, there are delays along the north side and east on Uxbridge Road past Shepherd’s Bush Market. Twelve bus lines in London are reportedly being rerouted as a result.
Hammersmith and Fulham Council posted:
“Emergency alert. ROAD UPDATE: All four lanes on the western side of Shepherd’s Bush Green W12 are closed due to emergency Thames Water works and a serious accident. Please use an alternative route if you’re travelling eastbound on Goldhawk Road to Westfield or Holland Park. Delays expected in the area. Traffic is currently being diverted down Lime Grove to Uxbridge Road by Met Police.”
