Lambeth (Parliament Politics Magazine) – A EuroMillions winner from Lambeth who had been untraceable has finally claimed their £90,000 prize, days before the ticket was due to expire.
To have the opportunity to win this transformative prize, National Lottery players were advised to thoroughly inspect their tickets.
On April 15, the ticket was purchased in the London Borough of Lambeth.
The Lucky Star numbers that this winning ticket did not match were 6 and 12, while the winning EuroMillions main numbers in the draw were 03, 31, 33, 38, and 44.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said,
“We are absolutely delighted that this lucky ticket-holder has finally come forward and claimed their prize.
It’s been a few weeks since the EuroMillions draw in question took place but, it’s a cause for real celebration that the ticket-holder has now come forward and is over £90,000 better off!
We’ll now support the ticket-holder through the process so they can begin to enjoy their life-changing win as soon as possible.”
The regular validation process is currently being applied to the most recent EuroMillions prize claim.
In order to preserve the integrity of The National Lottery and guarantee adherence to the official Games Rules, Terms, and Conditions, this involves extensive checks.
The prize will be awarded during a prearranged meeting with one of Allwyn’s Winners’ Advisers when it has been verified.
The winner will be able to choose whether or not to make their win public after payment.
The location of the ticket purchase and whether the reward belongs to an individual or a syndicate will be kept private unless the ticket holder chooses to reveal information.
How common are unclaimed EuroMillions prizes like this in Lambeth?
In the UK, winning EuroMillions tickets are frequently kept undiscovered in wallets, purses, or online accounts until their owner discovers they have won enormous sums of money.
Smaller and mid-sized jackpots often lie unclaimed for weeks or months, but really high jackpots, like the recent £83.4 million prize, seldom go unclaimed for several days.
Winners still have 180 days from the draw date to claim the numerous unclaimed EuroMillions prizes, which range in value from tens of thousands to over a million pounds.
For instance, tickets for £1 million that were bought in places like Lambeth, Swansea, and Liverpool, together with other sizable sums up to several hundred thousand pounds, are among the unclaimed rewards.
