Barnet (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Drivers in and around Barnet are advised to expect disruptions due to eight National Highways road closures this week, with routes and timings to be confirmed.
Additionally, one of them is anticipated to result in moderate delays, putting drivers in a 10- to 30-minute holdup.

Smaller road closures will not be part of National Highways’ because they’re in charge of maintaining major A-roads and motorways.
Are any closures affecting school pick-up/drop-off times?
None of the eight planned road closures in Barnet explicitly mention affecting academy pick- up or drop- off times. The council generally manages work schedules to avoid peak academy business times to minimize dislocation, though localized temporary detainments may occur near schools to the affected roads.
numerous Barnet seminaries apply their own business operation plans, coordinating with council roadworks schedules where possible. Parents are advised to stay informed through academy dispatches and council cautions to acclimate routes or timing slightly if necessary during these workshops.
For specific closures near schools, the council and school frequently promote measures like start/ end times, remote drop- off points, and clear signage to maintain safe and effective pupil advents and departures while roadworks are ongoing.
