Greenwich (Local News Magazine) – Orlando Anthony Tordo, affectionately known as “Lindo,” passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the age of 94. Greenwich residents esteemed Mr Tordo for his lifelong dedication to family life while pursuing his love of golf and his energetic commitment to neighbourhood groups in the community.
Mr Tordo was born January 28, 1931, in Greenwich as the son of late parents Vincent and Carolina Tordo. Mr. Lindo Tordo died peacefully on March 12 2025 but was preceded by his wife Rita Concetta Tordo and his daughter Carol Tordo Brennan in addition to his sister Regina O’Brien.
What was Orlando Tordo’s professional and personal life like?
During retirement, Mr Tordo worked as an operating engineer until he became passionate about golfing. Through his membership in the Red Men’s Dear Association of Greenwich, he formed enduring relationships and became an active community member.
Mr. Tordo leaves behind his two daughters, Linda Roche (Robert), who resides in Morris Township, NJ and Lisa Tordo (Douglas Uhlmann), who lives in Yardley, PA, together with their family. Mr Tordo’s surviving family consists of his daughters Linda Roche (Robert) and Lisa Tordo (Douglas Uhlmann), along with his sister Adeline Schneider (Walter) of Fairfield, Connecticut, who he shares with his sister-in-law Gigi Bambace of West Harrison, New York. He was joyously proud of his six grandchildren, along with his great-granddaughter. Many of his nieces and nephews treasure his kind and knowledgeable nature.

The visitation will take place on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home located in Greenwich. The visitation starts at 9:00 am on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Greenwich before attendees move to St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside for the 11:00 am mass.
Memorial donations directed to the National Giving Alliance in Warminster, PA, would be more appropriate than floral arrangements. Everyone who has lived with Orlando Tordo or knows him will remember his lasting impact through his selfless spirit, community dedication, and thoughtful goodness. Throughout his life, he demonstrated that love and service create an enduring legacy.
