Southwark (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Eighty-four young people from Southwark were honoured at Jack Petchey Foundation awards ceremony at Sinfonia Smith Square, celebrating youth achievement.

The live form recognized award winners aged 11 to 25 for their efforts to their seminaries, sodalities, and groups, feting their fidelity, service, and good influence on Southwark

Each youthful person was given an order, a framed instrument, and a£ 300 donation to help fund a community action.

Five grown-ups were also recognized with Leader Awards for their remarkable efforts to motivate and inspire youthful people. They were presented with medals and framed instruments in recognition of their long- term fidelity.

“I am passionate about our awards scheme which enables young people to be recognised, valued and rewarded for their achievements and positive contributions to society,”

said Sir Jack Petchey CBE.

Elisha, 15, of St Thomas the Apostle College, was among the honorees, honored for his hard trouble, modesty, and excellence as one of the top prizefighters in his age and weight order nationally.

His preceptors say he has become a reputed part model among his peers, and he chose to spend his £300 entitlement on a trip to Chessington World of Adventures for his time group.

Evie, 18, of St Michael’s Catholic College, earned the Jack Petchey Environmental Award for leading the academy’sEco-Committee for the former four times. She has coordinated pupil levies, developed class coffers, given staff donations, and worked with other seminaries to extend environmental efforts.

Sunny Lambe, Mayor of Southwark, commended the winners and described the evening as “inspiring, motivating, and celebrating all of the awardees.”

How does the Jack Petchey Achievement Award nomination work?

It’s open to young people aged 11 to 25 involved in seminaries, youth groups, or clubs primarily in London and Essex. Nominations can be made by leaders, staff, parents, levies, and the young people themselves can be involved in choosing winners.

Appointees don’t have to be best but must have tried their veritably stylish and demonstrated commitment, trouble, or particular achievement. Nominations are submitted using forms available from the Jack Petchey Foundation website or via group conversations, social media, or check tools.

Winners are intimately presented with awards at assemblies or special events to fete their achievements. Award winners are encouraged to subscribe up to the Foundation’s Keep In Touch database to support unborn engagement.
