UK (Parliament Politics Magazine) – A Tottenham Hotspur winger is set for a move to Coventry City following a reported exit from Portsmouth.
In 16 games for the Blues, the Spurs winger has three appearances.
Minhyeok Yang, who was on loan at Fratton Park, has supposedly been called back by Spurs.
Rather, the winger will spend the rest of the season at Coventry, another Championship platoon.
According to estimable football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the South Korean transnational has acceded to a loan move to the Sky Blues.
Yang had preliminarily been linked to a move to Real Madrid, but his time with John Mousinho has been disappointing as he has set up it delicately to establish himself.
Despite arriving in August on a season-long loan, the 19-year-old has only made nine Championship starts, one of which occurred since November 1.
In October, Yang had an outstanding three-game run in which he scored goals against Watford and Middlesbrough and then provided an assist at Leicester City.
But his coming significant donation did not come until two and a half months later, when he scored the game- winning goal against Charlton in the 98th nanosecond of the 2025 final.
In the 5- 0 thrashing at Bristol City on New Year’s Day, he was not indeed used off the bench, and Charlton now appears to be his last game for the Blues.
The Spurs youth made 16 appearances overall and scored three appearances; in his absence, he performed more on the left sect.
Conor Chaplin and Florian Bianchini would be the other two players on season-long temporary spells, and his possible exit would free up a loan spot for Pompey.
What impact will Min-hyeok have on Coventry’s title push?
Yang Min- hyeok’s appearance strengthens Coventry City’s title drive by edging in pace, dribbling faculty, and hold scoring into their attack, completing Frank Lampard’s creation- chasing team.
The 19- year-old South Korean indented 3 pretensions in 16 Championship jaunts at Portsmouth including a dramatic 90 6′ winner vs Charlton showcasing his capability to deliver in high- pressure moments; his direct style and physicality suit Coventry’s 1st- place position( 6- point lead), potentially unleashing defenses where their current wingers have faltered in converting xG( league-high 48.2).
Coventry’s fluid 4-2-3-1 under Lampard thrives on wide overloads, aligning with Yang’s K League birth( 11 pretensions, 6 assists in 2024) and recent Portsmouth counters; experts prognosticate 6- 8 thing benefactions by May, mirroring James Maddison’s loan impact there, while easing team depth amid institution traffic toward automatic creation since 2001.
