What do Newham’s missing person cases and crime rates reveal?

Many cases and statistics in Newham draw attention to issues with education, youth safety, and missing persons.

1,286 missing person cases were reported in Newham in 2018, indicating a serious worry for people’s safety in the borough. This figure suggests that there is a need for efficient methods to deal with the causes of people going missing.

The Stratford region was shown to be a hotspot for teenage criminality, which increased by 7% in Newham between August 2023 and July 2024. The borough’s persistent problems with youth safety and criminal activity are highlighted by this increase in offenses.

Newham has acknowledged the vulnerability of children who do not receive an education. The borough’s plan calls for teamwork to guarantee that every kid has access to a quality education and is protected from the dangers of missing school.
