Upcoming 'Cuppa with a Copper' events set in Harrow

Harrow (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Police in Harrow have confirmed new dates for the community-focused ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ events, encouraging local engagement and crime prevention dialogue.

The upcoming Cuppa with a Copper events have been announced, giving Harrow residents two fresh chances to get together with their local police force over a hot beverage.

The following places will host the drop-in sessions:

Tuesday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Conversation Café, Cuppa with a Copper, St. Peter’s Church, Sumner Road, Harrow, HA1 4BX

Cuppa with a Copper, in partnership with Found, 9 Shaftesbury Circle / Parade, Shaftesbury Avenue, Harrow, HA2 0AJ, Friday, May 30, 12 to 2 p.m.

PCSO David Neal said he

“looks forward to welcoming the residents of Harrow, for the next Cuppa with a Copper event.

Both venues offer a wonderful opportunity to pop in, no appointment required and to enjoy a hot drink and a 1 to 1 chat. Any policing matter that you may wish to discuss, or to find out more about Local Community Policing or to receive some Crime Prevention Advice.”

Visitors can ask questions or voice concerns to PCSO Neal and other staff members. Leaflets, QR codes, and access to the Metropolitan Police website and local neighbourhood team information will also be available during your visit, according to the organizers.

He added,

“Feedback shows that many residents have found these Cuppa with a Copper events to be very friendly, personable and a great way to build working relationships with their local policing team. Please feel free to pop along, it will be great to see you.”

What topics will be discussed in the June ‘Bigger conversation’ event in Harrow?

The June ‘Bigger Conversation’ event in Harrow will be held at St Peter’s Church on Tuesday, June 3rd, and will centre around the themes of alcohol and diabetes awareness. 

This program is a part of a monthly series that supports residents with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or caregiving duties by highlighting a different wellbeing subject at each session. Participants can anticipate conversations, support, and information about diabetes management and the negative health effects of alcohol.

Future ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ sessions are regularly attended and actively participated in by the Safer Neighbourhood Policing teams. 

Residents can meet local police officers, voice complaints, and talk about community safety issues over tea or coffee at these unofficial drop-in gatherings.
