Wandsworth (Parliament politics magazine) – Kido Wandsworth, an Ofsted-rated ‘outstanding’ nursery, will expand in April 2025 with 40 new spaces, enriching its inclusive, child-focused curriculum.

Since its opening in 2020, the nursery has flourished because of the curriculum that values inclusion, encourages fun and activities, and helps kids become more independent.

Located in the centre of Wandsworth at Ram Quarter, Greenland’s acclaimed renovation of the former Young’s Brewery, Kïdo’s custom curriculum prepares kids for a successful start in school.

The nursery will open its larger, expanded facilities at Ram Quarter in April. With the help of a skilled and knowledgeable teaching staff, 40 more kids will now be able to take advantage of Kïdo’s first-rate educational setting.

Along with a specially created indoor play space, the enlargement adds new classrooms that are suited to the individual demands, ages, and developmental stages of the kids.

Additionally, Kïdo provides outdoor enrichment activities like rock climbing and weekly forest school lessons, so the learning is not restricted to inside a classroom.

French and Spanish instruction will be available at the Wandsworth Nursery, and Kïdo is known throughout the world for his exceptional instructional abilities.

It will provide a brand-new, customized school readiness curriculum to get the kids ready to deal with what comes next. Kïdo will continue to strengthen its established relationships with nearby primary schools with the goal of facilitating this.

Prospective parents should not delay in scheduling a tour because, despite the recent availability, Kïdo’s spots are filling up rapidly.

Emma Phillips, Chief Academic Officer of Kïdo Holdings, said,

“We are thrilled to expand Kïdo Wandsworth, offering more exceptional early education to children. None of this would be possible without our long-standing team of teachers and their unwavering commitment to outstanding education.

A special thank you to Ram Quarter for not only the beautiful premises but also the fabulous community. We look forward to welcoming new families to Kïdo in April 2025.”

What are the key details of expansion in Kido nursery at Wandsworth?

With the addition of 40 additional spaces, more families will be able to take advantage of the nursery’s comprehensive early education programs.

The increased demand for childcare in the neighbourhood and Kïdo’s dedication to providing this need are reflected in this capacity increase.

In addition to expanding capacity, the extension will improve the learning environment as a whole. These might be brand-new classrooms, playgrounds, or facilities specifically designed for outdoor activities, music, or arts and crafts.

The emphasis on fostering a caring atmosphere is consistent with the nursery’s “outstanding” rating, which highlights its commitment to providing care and instruction.

The nursery is well-known for its airy and serene setting, which offers a sizable indoor play area and chances for outdoor education through weekly forest school excursions.

These facilities will probably be further improved by the expansion, giving kids more room to explore and engage in physical activity.

More early childhood education options will be made available to local families as a result of this expansion. For working parents who need dependable and reliable childcare, this can be of particular importance.

The expansion of the nursery also boosts the local economy by generating more employment possibilities for support workers and teachers.

The Reggio Emilia philosophy serves as the inspiration for Kïdo Wandsworth’s cutting-edge curriculum, which places a strong emphasis on play, exploration, and interactive learning.

In order to provide a well-rounded educational experience, the nursery also offers language programs in Mandarin, Spanish, and French in addition to STEM projects and musical activities.

The settling-in procedure at the childcare facility is customized for every child, ensuring a transition for new families moving into the neighbourhood.

Kïdo Wandsworth’s status is evidence of it providing high-quality childcare. This reputation will probably be upheld or improved by the growth, drawing in more families looking to provide their kids with educational offerings.

The nursery will continue to run Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm while the expansion is planned for April 2025.
