UK (Parliament Politics Magazine) – West Ham striker Callum Wilson is in talks to leave the club after five months, as issues with manager Nuno Espírito Santo affect squad morale.

As reported by Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, West Ham striker Callum Wilson may leave the club only after five months, with insiders reporting dissatisfaction under manager Nuno Espírito Santo.

Why could Callum Wilson exit West Ham?

Callum Wilson joined West Ham on a low-cost, one-year deal, and his current situation highlights growing unrest within the squad over the management.

According to reports, Nuno faces the risk of losing the dressing room at West Ham as concerns grow over his tactics and man-management.

No deal has yet been reached on Wilson’s departure from the club, currently 18th in the table, and his exit could be either a free transfer or a sale. The former Newcastle forward is understood to be more likely to leave closer to the end of the transfer window.

West Ham have completed the signings of two forwards chosen by Nuno, bringing in Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos in a deal worth around £47m.

After being removed by Forest in September, Nuno quickly returned to management when West Ham sacked Graham Potter later that month. Sources report the club does not plan to replace him, even if his team loses to Forest following their defeat at Wolves.

Nuno has recorded two victories from 15 matches, with reports saying his relationship with several players has become strained.

West Ham’s dressing room morale has dropped amid concerns about Nuno’s tactics. Several figures at the club have questioned his limited use of Wilson, despite the striker scoring four goals in 18 appearances. The club faced criticism after Wilson was taken off in the 63rd minute of the 2-2 draw, leaving the side without a recognised attacker.

The striker started the last two matches but had been on the bench previously. His absence in the club’s 2-0 defeat surprised many, as Nuno started without a recognised forward. The team performed better when Wilson returned for wins against Newcastle and Burnley.

The manager hopes his new signings can lift the struggling side. Pablo, recently back from a hamstring issue, remained unused against Wolves.

Which Premier League clubs should target Callum Wilson after West Ham’s exit?

Brentford could benefit from Wilson’s Premier League experience, adding depth to a position where the club remains thin despite having a leading striker.

Leeds United may turn to Wilson to strengthen their weakened attack, providing experience and cover as they fight to maintain top-flight status.

Nottingham Forest, struggling near relegation, could turn to Wilson’s Premier League experience to strengthen their attack and avoid the drop.

How many games has Callum Wilson won under West Ham?

Callum Wilson has featured in 18 games for West Ham in all competitions since joining, with the team claiming victory in just four of those matches.

In the Premier League, he featured in 17 games, winning 4, losing 9, and drawing 4. He also appeared once in the EFL Cup, which ended in a loss, bringing his overall record to 4 wins, 10 losses, and 4 draws.

In 18 appearances for the team, Wilson has scored four times, contributing to key wins in the Premier League this season.
