Anthony Joshua fires strong warning to Tyson Fury with ‘hit list’ revelation

Anthony Joshua has fired a warning to Tyson Fury and told him he’s coming for his WBC heavyweight belt.

Anthony Joshua has warned Tyson Fury that hes on his hit list and he wants his belt. Fury and AJ seem destined for a battle of Britain, which could be the most explosive showdown in British boxing history.

However they both need to overcome their next opponents to keep the fight alive with Fury set for a third match up with Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua set to face Kubrat Pulev.

Much has been said about finally getting the two heavyweights into the ring together and AJ says hes desperate to get the chance to face him.

“Undoubtedly the fight I want is Tyson Fury — he is holding something that I want, hes on my hit list,” he told the Sun.

“You never know what youre going to get with him.

“Hes either at the top of the world, conquering the world, or at the bottom of the ocean and he needs to find a balance — but at the moment he seems to have found one at home working out with his wife.

“He says things about me all the time, there is so much back and forth, but Tyson Fury is only relevant the day me and him sign a contract to fight.

“The day he and I are going to fight is the only time really that I should be talking about Tyson Fury and I dont really want to be in that position where I am talking him down.

“He says a lot of controversial things, and I know if that was me… I just think he gets away with a lot.”

Anthony Joshua, 30, regained his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles against Andy Ruiz Jr in December after the shock defeat to the Mexican in June.

He atoned for the that defeat in New York with a complete performance in Saudi Arabia where he won by unanimous decision in 12 rounds.

He had been embarrassed by the defeat to Ruiz the first time round, when he was knocked out in the seventh, but became the two-time unified champion and a put a fight with the winner of Fury-Wilder back on course.

While Fury stunned the boxing world with his display against Wilder in February, where he knocked him out in seven rounds to claim the WBC title.

And while AJ isnt a fan of the way he runs his mouth, hes been impressed with his return to boxing after his struggles and mental health issues that saw him out of the sport for just over two years after beating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.

“But the work he has done around mental health has been very impressive,” AJ added.

“I didnt understand how much mental health issues had played such a big part in society, and I think that Tyson Fury is such a big guy, a heavyweight champion of the world, and it means that people can look at him and think, well if Tyson Fury can go through this well, I shouldnt be so scared to talk.

“Tyson has done so well with this. And that is what I am happy to talk about with Tyson Fury.

“But all the jumping on him like the little fat boy did stuff, that is all irrelevant.

“He is a great person and he has done great things in boxing, but until the day we fight that is where it ends and I dont have anything else to say about him. I really want the belt he holds and that is where I stand.”
