LONDON (Parliament Politics Magazine): Have you just finished school and find it difficult to list talents on your resume? Maybe you are a real team player, a communication miracle or a go-getter? You can surely recognise yourself in one of the profiles below. So don’t forget to mention it on your resume. Especially if you have little or no work experience at all.
1. The real businessman or woman
Or at least business acumen. It is important to know what the company you work for does exactly, what the objectives are and where the products or services actually originated. Only in this way can you make a difference.
2. The communication miracle
If you’re clear, concise and focused, can tailor your message to the target audience and really listen to the opinions of others, you’ll be fine. Also think about your body language. Crossing your arms quickly comes across as hostile and defensive while strolling is a sign that you don’t care. So watch out!
3. The Team Player
It goes without saying that you should not put colleagues down but a real team player knows just as much about managing and delegating . And that in a constructive way. This way you build strong working relationships, which is necessary to achieve success.
4. The Negotiator
Do you know what you want and how to achieve it? Well done! But don’t forget to consider the opinions of others. Only in this way can you conclude a business benefitting all parties involved, without going home feeling guilty.
5. The Troubleshooter
Solving problems isn’t for everyone. If you look at difficulties in a logical and analytical way, you are one step ahead. By the way, it’s not bad to look for multiple solutions. This shows that you can approach a problem from all kinds of angles.
6. The organisational talent
And we are not talking about organising an afterwork party. It is important to show that you can prioritise, work efficiently and productively and manage your agenda perfectly. If you meet every deadline, your boss will immediately discover that you know what you’re doing.
7. The go-getter
No job comes without challenges. The question is: how do you handle it? If you show your boss that you won’t give up even when the going gets tough and you enthusiastically eliminate any problem, you’ll be fine.
8. The Sober Worker
Best not to have a glass of alcohol when you work. But there is, of course, another kind of sobriety: calm and calculated. Do you keep a cool head during the biggest crisis and is the word ‘stress’ not in your dictionary? That is a sign of a budding new professional.
