Ealing (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Ealing Council adult learning service earns ‘good’ Ofsted rating, with areas highlighted in inspection report, demonstrating commitment to education for adults.
Inspectors conducted surveys, saw classrooms, and spoke with tutors, students, partners, and employers last month to evaluate the borough’s adult learners’ educational quality.
Learn Ealing received “outstanding” ratings in two of the four major inspection areas: “personal development,” “behavior and attitudes,” and “outstanding.” This indicates that the top-rated adult and community learning provider in west London is Learn Ealing.
“Good” grades were given to “quality of education” and “leadership and management.”
The management was commended by observers for offering unambiguous training options that match the council’s aims with the curriculum.
They praised, among other things, the high caliber of education provided and the helpful career information and advice provided. See a summary of all the main conclusions in the article’s conclusion.
All locations received a “good” rating during the most recent assessment in 2020. The council’s decision to establish a new regeneration, economics, and skills department—which includes Learn Ealing—made it possible for this year’s accomplishment, which represents a major improvement.
Ealing Council leader, Councillor Peter Mason said:
“This Ofsted rating reflects our commitment to providing a high-quality education service for local people. Every day, our brilliant Learn Ealing team is helping local people get the skills they need to find good and well-paid jobs.
Their consistent dedication to improving residents’ lives is just one of the factors that has led to this continuation of their ‘good’ Ofsted rating.”
Councillor Kamaljit Nagpal, the council’s cabinet member for decent living incomes added:
“Although this impressive rating could not have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of our Learn Ealing team, the adult learners have also played a vital role.
It’s great to hear that the inspectors found that learners turn up to classes feeling empowered and ready to learn, with a very positive attitude towards their studies.
Learn Ealing’s success is a testament to the dedication and hard work of its leaders, teachers, and learners.”
Learn Ealing provides instruction at around 25 locations throughout the borough, such as libraries, children’s centers, and schools. In keeping with the goals outlined in the council’s jobs and skills strategy, this enables the council to focus its services on more underprivileged adults who can enroll in courses near their homes.
