What measures are being taken to prevent illegal dumping in Rainham?

Establishing security fences with concrete barriers at known illegal dump sites like Arnolds Field prevents easy access by dumpers. Appropriate signage informs the public that dumping is not permitted and is being monitored.

The installation of a security camera system and mobile solar unit provides the authorities with evidence and alerts that will identify illegal dumping activity. It can also provide alerts to authorities so that action can be taken more swiftly.

Local councils work jointly with police to provide fines, penalties, and/or criminal charges to those caught illegally dumping waste. Some local areas utilize license plate recognition (LPR) technology to ticket repeat offenders.
