Camden (Parliament Politics Magazine) – M’eat The Vegans in Camden Town has been awarded the area’s best plant burger, recognising the eatery’s standout vegan offering in a competitive food scene.
Two Camden locations were chosen among the finest in the nation at this week’s inaugural British Burger Awards, which took place in Birmingham.
In addition to honoring the top burgers in England, Scotland, and Wales, the awards also honor the individuals and companies that provide them to our high streets.
The finest burger in the UK was being contested by a variety of independent businesses, high street chains, and pioneers of street food.
The nation’s Best Veggie/Vegan Burger Restaurant award went to M’eat The Vegans in Camden Town.
Asian, Indian, Mexican, and Caribbean plant-based dishes are served in the vegan bar, diner, and cafe at Stables Market.
Their Vegan Classic Plant Burger includes plant-based ‘meat’ patties with vegan cheddar, garlic mayo, burger sauce, lettuce, gherkins and tomato.
Additionally, Burger & Beyond received recognition for “Outstanding Achievement and Excellence” even though Burger LDN, which has an Aldgate location, won the London category.
With shops in Borough Yards, Soho and Shoreditch High Street, the burger specialist, which was formed 10 years ago, already lays claim to being top patty.
The cheeseburger comes with their signature dry aged beef patty, double American cheese, smokey mayo, onion, and demi-brioche bun; while Bougie Burger also features steak sauce, marrownaise, and beef fat onions, and Le Big Boeuf is an XL 200g 40-day aged rare breed beef patty cooked with beef tallow, and confit onions.
Irfan Younis, spokesperson for the British Burger Awards said:
“The businesses represent the very best of the UK’s vibrant burger scene, from gourmet innovators to beloved independents serving up unforgettable flavours.
This celebration is all about recognising the creativity, passion and hard work behind every bun, and the outstanding talent shaping the nation’s burger culture.
We would like to congratulate all of our winners on their incredible accomplishments.”
