It focuses on protecting women and girls, who are most affected by abuse.
It also recognizes that men, boys, transgender, and non-binary people can also be victims. It wants to make Barnet safer by preventing abuse, supporting survivors, and holding abusers accountable.

According to officials, the new plan focuses on stopping abuse early with education and awareness. It also aims to improve access to support and housing.
