Croydon (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Croydon Council partners with Anya Healthcare to offer round-the-clock parenting support for local families, improving early years care and wellbeing.

The Croydon Anya App offers round-the-clock assistance to families during the crucial first 1001 days of a child’s life.

Expert assistance is available 24/7 from pregnancy to age two with Anya’s practical, individualized support for nursing, child eating, and early development, which is supported by evidence and NHS-reliable information.

Anya’s AI-powered app, which is supported by NHS-reliable information and evidence-based content, provides quick answers to users’ concerns and, when necessary, links them to health specialists.

Anya offers interactive LatchAid 3D animations that teach new parents how to hold their infant, recognize hunger cues, and position their breasts for nursing. In addition to a comprehensive collection of publications and programs customized to each user’s situation and life, it offers live webinars and drop-in sessions with midwives and lactation specialists.

The majority of queries are handled by Anya’s hybrid model using AI; just a small percentage require specialized assistance. Help is available to families when they need it most, even in the early morning hours, as about 70% of those encounters take place outside of regular business hours.

The program is supported by the Department for Education and is a component of Croydon’s virtual Family Hub offering. Simply download the Anya app, register using your postcode, and if you qualify, you will receive a free upgrade to premium access.

In order to assist their early parenting experience, parents and caregivers are advised to utilize this new resource.
