Greenwich (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Greenwich Peninsula unveils a vibrant spring line-up with art exhibitions, live music, markets, and wellness events in London’s cultural hotspot for 2025.
Numerous cultural and artistic events will take place on the peninsula, which is only two minutes from North Greenwich Tube.
From April 11 to June 1, the NOW Gallery’s “The Secret 7” exhibition, in collaboration with War Child UK, will feature sleeve designs for songs by artists such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jessie Ware, and Scissor Sisters.
Ten percent of all sales from the contemporary art exhibition Exposed, which is presently taking place at the Firepit Gallery, will go to the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Admission to this exhibition is free and it will remain open until June 7.
From April 10 to April 25, the gallery will also celebrate the work of Black artists in the UK with Stories Around the Fire: Black History 365.
In addition to open entries, which provide a forum for up-and-coming artists and designers, the exhibition features works from internationally recognized artists (such as Ai Weiwei and Gilbert & George from previous editions).
The show is immersive and intriguing since visitors are encouraged to attempt to guess the artist or the song behind each sleeve.
Events at the Ecology Park, a four-acre wetland retreat, will include the Women’s Nature Wellbeing Club on May 9 from 12.30 to 1.30 p.m. and Feathered Friday on April 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The tube station is a 12-minute walk from the park.
Open everyday from 7am to 10pm, the Tide Walkway is a riverbank path including art, food, and meditation pods.
Every Thursday from 12 to 1 pm, Design District Yoga provides lunchtime yoga on the rooftop for £5.
Daily hours for the Peninsula Golf Driving Range are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Drinks are provided until late at the Canteen cuisine Hall & Bar, which serves street cuisine every day from six international cooks.
The events are designed to give locals and tourists alike a range of ways to enjoy the Greenwich Peninsula’s springtime.
What are the highlights of the “Secret 7” exhibition?
Seven classic songs by well-known artists are included in “Secret 7,” which is a limited-edition 7″ vinyl album. Every record has a unique sleeve designed by artists and creatives from all over the world, including well-known artists and up-and-coming artists. This results in 700 distinct works of collectible art.
Until all records are auctioned at an online auction following the exhibition, the identities of the artists behind each sleeve and the songs on each record are kept a secret.
This guarantees that all artworks are evaluated on their own merits rather than the artist’s notoriety and adds a fun guessing game element for both purchasers and visitors.
The sale’s whole earnings help children impacted by war by going to War Child.
