LONDON, June 25 (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 are now officially live across the United Kingdom, confirming long-awaited pricing details for the highly anticipated title. Rockstar Games has set the cost for the Standard Edition at £69.99, while the more comprehensive Ultimate Edition will retail for £89.99.
This announcement settles weeks of speculation regarding potential price hikes for the next installment in the long-running series. While rumors previously suggested the game might reach a £100 price point, the official UK pricing sits slightly below that threshold for both available digital and physical options.
Edition Details and Content
The Standard Edition at £69.99 provides players with the base game alongside standard digital bonuses. Rockstar Games is positioning the Ultimate Edition, priced at £89.99, as the premium choice for players seeking additional in-game content.
This higher-tier version bundles the base game with an extensive collection of exclusive items. These include premium vehicles, specialized weapons, unique apparel, and customized gameplay elements designed specifically for protagonists Jason and Lucia.
Players who decide to pre-order either version of the game before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack. This incentive includes a throwback car, retro character outfits, specific hairstyles, and custom weapon patterns.
Physical Retail and Digital Format
A notable aspect of the physical release in the UK is the nature of the boxed product. Retailers including Amazon UK, Currys, Argos, and ShopTo are listing physical boxes, though these will not contain a traditional game disc.
Instead, the retail cases will house a digital download code. This shift toward a digital-only format for physical buyers aligns with modern industry trends but remains a point of contention for some traditional collectors.

Release Date and Platform Availability
Rockstar Games has confirmed the official launch date for the title as 19 November 2026. The game is being released exclusively for current-generation hardware, specifically the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
There is currently no version of the game available for PC at launch. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will also be unable to access the title on older hardware. Digital pre-loading for the game is scheduled to begin a week prior to the launch, on 12 November 2026.
“The highly anticipated title is locked in for a 19 November 2026 launch,” according to the official statement.

Ultimate Edition Perks
The Ultimate Edition includes a variety of specialized content that extends beyond standard cosmetic items. The package features several unique vehicles, including a 1967 Vapid Dominator buggy and a 1995 Grotti Cheetah.
Ultimate Edition owners also gain access to exclusive business locations that facilitate vehicle customization. These include Rideout Customs, located in Vice City, and One-Eyed Willie’s, situated in Lake Leonida.
Additional perks include an exclusive quest line focused on finding and refurbishing classic cars, resulting in four unique rides. Players also receive a Shitzu Squalo speedboat, which comes equipped with its own weapons crate.
The edition further provides personalized weapon variants for the two protagonists, including the Girardi ES9 pistol for Jason and the Klose K17 pistol for Lucia. These are in addition to the Hawk & Little Morgan revolver, which becomes available at Ammu-Nation after sufficient story progression.
Content tied to in-game gangs is also included. The PTT Youngin$ compound allows players to raid the area to obtain special items and contraband. Furthermore, exclusive clothing stores such as Stock 305 offer elevated streetwear options for the protagonists.
Players looking to customize character appearance can access Sara’s Unisex Salon for facial hair, makeup, and nail options. A tattoo parlor titled Electric Fang offers over 50 exclusive designs for both Jason and Lucia.
Current Retail Landscape
Pre-orders can be placed through major digital storefronts, including the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store. Physical units with the digital code inside are currently available for reservation at major UK electronics and entertainment retailers.
While collectors have expressed interest in a physical disc, no such option has been announced. Additionally, there has been no word regarding a separate ultra-premium collector’s edition that includes physical merchandise like statues or apparel.
The decision to offer an upgrade path from the Standard Edition to the Ultimate Edition remains, though specific pricing for this transition has not yet been confirmed by Rockstar Games. It is expected that this upgrade path will be made available to players following the official launch of the game.
