Mohamed Salah rules out transfer and wants to stay at Liverpool ‘for a long time’

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has committed his long-term future to the club.

Mohamed Salah has made it clear that he wants to stay at Liverpool for the long-term after helping the club win their first-ever Premier League title. The Egyptian has claimed the team have developed a perfect understanding and they will now go in search of more silverware.

The Egyptian is still in with a chance of winning the Premier League golden boot having scored 17 times this season and there are still seven fixtures left to play.

The forward is currently tied with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in third, one behind Danny Ings in second and two behind leading scorer Jamie Vardy.

Yet it’s not just the remainder of the campaign Salah is thinking about, he wants to stay at Anfield for the long haul.

The Reds were crowned Premier League champions on Thursday night after Chelsea beat Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Salah and his team-mates watched the game together at the Formby Hall Golf Resort, where they partied long into the night after ending the club’s 30-year wait for top-flight glory.

Now the Reds want to do it all over again next season but this time in front of their own supporters.

Salah wants to be a part of that and has outlined his plans to stay on Merseyside for as long as he can.

“Im very happy … I cant describe my feelings after we won the league after 30 years,” Salah told BeIN Sport.

“I can see peoples joy and this is so important for all of us. I enjoy the atmosphere here… I love this place and I hope to stay for a long time.

“The atmosphere here is different to any other place.

“We have adapted well as a team and our understanding is perfect. If this continues, we can achieve more.

“Its difficult to maintain our current level, but its not impossible.”

Salah appeared to drop a hint on Instagram last Friday that he was definitely staying put after vowing to bring more joy to Liverpool supporters.

He posted a snap with Dejan Lovren, Roberto Firmino, Alisson and Fabinho at Liverpool’s secret Merseyside title party, which read: “Yes. It feels THAT good. I want to thank all our supporters watching us from all corners of the world.

“You made this possible for us and I hope we can keep bringing you the joy you deserve. Now theyre gonna believe us.”

Sadio Mane has also joined Salah in committing his future to the club amid strong interest from Real Madrid.

There is a sense that this Liverpool squad smells blood and feel as though they can assert a dominance on English football.
