This is the fourth YEF awards, what has made it so popular since it launched and what excites you about it?
“We’re incredibly proud of how the YEF Awards has grown year after year, and we believe its success comes down to the fact that it’s a truly special event – one that brings the whole community together to celebrate the brilliant achievements of Ealing’s young people, youth organisations and youth professionals. So many of these incredible individuals are the ‘unsung heroes’ of our borough, and the awards give them the recognition they truly deserve.
What excites us most? Everything. From shining a spotlight on the amazing talent and impactful projects happening right here in Ealing to the electric energy on the night itself. “
She said that it’s an opportunity to celebrate in front of a wide audience – including MPs, councillors, local businesses, charities, families and young people – showcasing just how brilliant our borough is. Year after year, the YEF Awards prove that Ealing has so much to be proud of and we love being part of that moment.
It’s incredibly exciting to bring the YEF Awards to life! From the moment nominations open to scouting local performers and finally seeing everyone come together on the night, every step of the journey is special.
Last year, they welcomed 270 attendees, and the energy in the room was absolutely electric.
She said:
“What makes it even more exciting is that the entire event is co-produced and co-hosted by young people – our amazing Ealing Young Champions – alongside brilliant co-presenters from the local community.
We’ve even had incredible moments like a special message from actor Will Poulter last year!
It’s without a doubt the highlight of our year and we can’t wait to do it all over again.”
