Bromley (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Southeastern train services in Bromley will be cancelled, diverted, or replaced by buses this weekend due to planned engineering works.
On Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, the closures will occur.
To help you prepare, they have broken down the specifics.
October 18, Saturday:
All lines between Denmark Hill and Shortlands are being closed due to engineering work.
Trains will run uninterrupted between London Victoria and Bromley South and later than normal for a portion of the trip between London Victoria and Gillingham via Denmark Hill.
Sunday, October 19:
All lines through this station are being closed due to engineering work near Bromley South.
Bromley South Line: Only trains between London Victoria and Beckenham Junction will travel to Orpington.
On the Sole Street Line, trains will run nonstop between London Victoria or Denmark Hill and St Mary Cray or Swanley after being rescheduled from Ramsgate or Dover Priory.
Maidstone East line: Trains will now run uninterrupted between London Victoria and St Mary Cray instead of via Maidstone East between Ashford International and London Victoria.
The stations at Bickley, Bromley South, and Shortlands will be closed all day.
Bromley South and Swanley, as well as Beckenham Junction and Orpington, will be served by replacement buses.
Which Bromley stations are affected by the disruption?
Disruption on Southeastern this weekend will affect a number of stations in the Bromley area. Train services from Bromley North to Grove Park will be suspended from late Friday night until the end of service, over the entirety of the weekend. Replacement bus service will run along the routes and connect with London Bus routes 126 and 261, which is good for continuity.
Other Bromley stations, including Bromley South, are likely to see cancellations, delays or amended stopping patterns due to the scope engineering work affecting the Southeastern network. Passengers who planned to travel to/from Bromley South, should also be prepared for cancellations, delays or amended stopping patterns.
Passengers should plan for disruption and may want to use replacement bus services as needed, throughout the weekend engineering works.
