Encouraging drivers to obey speed limits, avoid distractions such as mobile phone use, never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and always wear seat belts can significantly reduce accident risks.
Improved signage, better road markings, pedestrian crossings, and clear separation of vehicle lanes can help prevent collisions. Regular maintenance to fix hazards like potholes and proper lighting is also important.
Educational programs promoting defensive driving, awareness of large vehicle blind spots, and the dangers of reckless driving can lower the likelihood of crashes.
