Xbox’s Free Play Days, which give Xbox Series X/S owners the opportunity to experience some of the console’s greatest successes for free for a brief period of time, are consistently popular, and it appears that December’s edition will be no exception.
For a brief period, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential users will be able to play the following games for free.
Additionally, they will all be available at a discount if you want to buy the complete title after completing the free trial.
Therefore, this event is the ideal reason to test before you buy.
First Over is NBA 2K26, which will be accessible on PC and press from December 18 to December 21. The 27th game in the NBA 2K series, it was released in September and features immersive technology that
“directly translates NBA footage into realistic gameplay.”
You can play in competitive or unranked settings by yourself or with others thanks to the variety of options offered.
WWE 2K25 and PGA TOUR 2K25 are also available from December 18–21.
If you’re a sports lover, you can spend your Christmas season yelling at the TV in style with the wrestling and golf simulation games that are available on consoles and PCs.
A $5 Xbox Gift Card and a 15,000 VC Pack for in-game use will also be given to customers who buy WWE 2K25 between now and January 7.
You can, however, play ARK: Survival Ascended if you’re not a sports lover.

Black Ops 7 is part of Xbox’s “Free Play Days For All” bundle, which enables users to dive in from December 16–22 in an effort to encourage more players to experience the brand-new Call of Duty: Black Ops entry.
“During the Free Trial period, play select BO7 Multiplayer modes and maps including the fan-favorite “Nuketown 2025”
remastered with stunning visuals and refined combat flow,” the Xbox blog post reads.
“Plus, enjoy the Zombies experience and try your hand in the thriller “Ashes of the Damned”.
Finally, enjoy the “Sleighjacked” MP Map, which has been adorned for the gift-giving season, or visit Christmas Havoc, a festive moshpit that combines your favorite modes with Christmas fun, to celebrate with CODMAS.
Lastly, from now until December 23, players can enter the wasteland for free in Fallout 76. Players of all ages celebrate Fallout Season 2’s arrival.

Xbox Free Play Days access varies by Game Pass league, with Ultimate, Premium, and Essential subscribers gaining full entry to featured titles, whilenon-subscribers or lower categories may have limited or no access.
Ultimate/ Premium/ Essential playtime on select games( e.g., full games like The Hunter Call of the Wild), progress carries over if bought. Core/ Standard(non-qualifying) generally barred, though some elevations allow limited trials without subscription.
