LISBURN, June 14 (Parliament Politics Magazine) – A 30-year-old man was released on bail following a violent assault in the Jubilee Avenue area of Lisburn during the early hours of Saturday, 13 June 2026.

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officers received a report shortly after 2:00 AM stating that a man in his 30s had been attacked with a blunt weapon. The victim sustained significant injuries to his arm and hand and required hospital treatment.

Officers arrested a 30-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and grievous bodily harm with intent. The suspect was subsequently released on police bail to allow for further enquiries into the incident.

According to the official police statement, “The investigation remains ongoing.”

Detectives are now appealing to the public for assistance. They are requesting anyone who witnessed the attack, or those possessing relevant CCTV or doorbell camera footage, to contact them at 101. Callers should quote the case reference number 137 of 13/06/2026.
