The British Business Bank, the UK government’s economic development bank, is celebrating ten years of enhancing financial access for smaller businesses during Business Finance Week 2024. Running from September 26 to October 3, the week is dedicated to informing entrepreneurs about various financing options to support business growth and innovation.

Enhancing financial literacy for entrepreneurs

Business Finance Week offers a range of free events, including nationwide and regional in-person sessions, webinars, and workshops. The focus is on three key areas: starting a business, fostering innovation, and managing working capital. These activities aim to provide smaller businesses with clear, unbiased information on available financial resources.

The British Business Bank’s goal is to promote sustainable economic growth and help businesses transition to a net zero economy by expanding access to finance. Over the past decade, the Bank has facilitated more than £17.4 billion in finance to nearly 64,000 smaller businesses across the UK.

The British Business Bank’s efforts highlight the crucial role of accessible financial support in driving business success and contributing to a thriving economy.
