Buckingham Palace reports that the Queen tested positive for COVID-19

LONDON (Parliament Politics Magazine) – According to Buckingham Palace, the Queen has tested positive for coronavirus.

The queen, who is 95 years old, is suffering from minor cold-like symptoms and is expected to perform modest duties at Windsor this week, according to the palace.

She has been vaccinated three times, according to reports.

The Queen spoke with Prince Charles directly the week after the heir to the throne tested positive for COVID for the second time.

The virus was also discovered in his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.

COVID is believed to have infected others at Windsor.

“I understand that a number of instances have been diagnosed inside the Windsor Castle crew,” Sky’s royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills said.

“Clearly, COVID has infected people around her, and she has now contracted it.”

The Queen’s message to the victorious Team GB curling team on Sunday demonstrated the type of light tasks she will continue to perform.

‘Mild symptoms of a cold’

The announcement came just weeks after the Queen, the United Kingdom’s longest-reigning monarch, celebrated her historic Platinum Jubilee of 70 years on the throne.

Buckingham Palace confirms that The Queen has tested positive today for COVID, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Her Majesty is suffering from mild cold-like symptoms, but she intends to resume light activities at Windsor next week.

She will continue to get medical care and will adhere to all applicable regulations.

The Queen’s doctors will be there round the clock to monitor her health and care or her, as the Royal Household has its own royal doctors.

Professor Sir Huw Thomas, the Queen’s physician and head of the medical household, is going to be in charge as is expected.

On February 8, the Queen had spent time with Prince Charles at Windsor Castle it is believed.

He was tested positive a few days later, but recovered quickly to full health.

Camilla caught the infection on February 14th, it was announced.

The Queen has recently struggled with health issues, and during an in-person audience on Wednesday, the monarch, who was shown standing with a walking stick, said, “Well, as you can see, I can’t move.”

The Queen doesn’t appreciate fuss

Alastair Bruce, a royal commentator for Sky News, said: “The Queen isn’t one for making a big deal out of things.

She’s in a situation where she can be well taken care of.

She’s aware that a large number of individuals, particularly those her age, have been vulnerable to COVID at this time, and she’ll follow the advise she’s given, but she’s pretty stalwart.

The Queen has always known she would get it one day.

She is more than ready to deal with what she encounters, for a feisty and determined lady in her mid-90s.
