Havering (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Mercury Shopping Centre in Havering once again partners with the Royal British Legion for its annual Poppy Appeal, supporting veterans and remembrance efforts.

The annual promotion officially began on October 26 at the Mercury Shopping Centre.

The mayor of Havering, Councillor Sue Ospreay, spoke to the throng that attended the occasion.

Together with council members, standard liaisons, Mercury workers, and levies from the Royal British Legion, the British Legion Standard took center stage at the boardwalk.

She said:

“It is a pleasure to host such a worthy campaign year after year, as we continue to remember our fallen heroes.

This event is close to the hearts of our community and customers, and we wish the Legion every success in their fundraising efforts this year.”

Until November 11, an endless Poppy Appeal stage will be located in the Mercury Shopping Centre in Havering.

To support the cause, people can buy poppies, crosses, colophons, and other products then.

The Royal British Legion will get all of the money earned.

The finances will support their ongoing efforts to help the active and sheltered service labor force and their families.

How much has the Romford Poppy Appeal raised so far this year?

The Romford Poppy Appeal has raised over £17,000 so far this time. The appeal platoon expressed gratitude to the people of Romford and Havering for their liberality. They also thanked the staff at Margaret Thatcher House for allowing them to use their demesne during the appeal and the Mercury Shopping Centre for supporting the launch and furnishing a cube throughout the crusade.

The finances raised support the Royal British Legion’s work to prop serving and expert members of the Armed Forces and their families.

All finances raised go directly to the Royal British Legion to support serving and expert members of the Armed Forces and their families. The crusade continues to admit strong community support in Havering, reflecting the ongoing significance of remembrance and backing to stagers.
