The groundbreaking health research initiative, “Our Future Health”, is set to launch new clinics across the UK, with appointments available at 14 new locations starting August 2024. This expansion will increase the total number of clinics to 200, aiming to make health assessments more accessible to a larger population.

The programme will feature mobile clinics stationed in car parks in locations such as Boldon, East Grinstead, Evesham, Formby, Rochdale, South York, Tiverton, and Tooting Lido. Additionally, Boots stores will host clinics in Darlington, Huntingdon, and Tunbridge, with new sites in Scotland, including Dunfermline, Irvine, and Kirkcaldy.

“Our Future Health” is dedicated to revolutionising the prevention, detection, and treatment of critical health conditions such as dementia, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. By engaging up to five million volunteers nationwide, the programme aims to produce one of the most comprehensive health portraits of the UK population.

Participants in these clinics will undergo blood sampling and physical measurements during their appointments, gaining insights into their health metrics like blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Over time, volunteers will receive feedback on their disease risk and contribute to groundbreaking research studies.

Invitations are being sent to residents near the newly established clinics, but participation is open to anyone over 18 who can register online at ourfuturehealth.org.uk. After completing a health questionnaire, individuals can book an appointment at their convenience.

Dr. Raghib Ali, Chief Executive and Chief Medical Officer of “Our Future Health”, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative:

“The continuous expansion of clinics each month is designed to provide everyone across the UK with the opportunity to participate. Our goal is to empower individuals to lead healthier, longer lives by involving people from all walks of life.”

The health initiative is being rolled out regionally, allowing adults from various locations to join and contribute. Those not residing near the current clinic locations can still register at ourfuturehealth.org.uk to receive notifications about future openings.
