London (Parliament Politics Magzine) – Man apprehended over acid attack on schoolgirl in west London bailed.
A 35-year-old man apprehended on suspicion of driving grievous bodily harm after a supposed acid attack outside a West London school has been released on bail. Tegan McFarlane, 14, was compelled to have surgery after mourning “potentially life-changing” injuries following the attack. A boy, 16, also wounded in an attack outside Westminster Academy in Notting Hill, west London, has been ministered for “less severe” injuries. A 14-year-old girl apprehended in connection with the happening has also been bailed.Â
What details surround the acid attack incident?
Police express a lone man on an electric scooter pitched a substance at the teens before running along Harrow Road. They continue to demand dashcam footage. Teagan’s father, Corey McFarlane, expressed his daughter was undergoing “shock, pain, and trauma” both physically and emotionally.
She is stated to have sustained burns to the left side of her face and was due to undergo surgery.
“This situation has also deeply affected my daughter mentally, expressed McFarlane, 37. She’s very traumatised by the episode. She’s very scared about her injuries. She’s a young girl, and these scars could be for life. She’s very nervous about that.”
The injured boy has since been released from hospital. Detectives encourage anyone with information to come forward as the investigation persists.
