What are the main factors that impact a business’s hygiene score in Bexley?

Inspectors assess cleanliness, maintenance, layout, lighting, ventilation, pest control, and the condition of facilities and premises.

Management of food safety involves how the business manages food safety risks, including staff training, food safety policies, procedures, record keeping, and overall confidence that hygiene standards will be maintained consistently in the future.

Environmental health officers inspect businesses against these factors and assign hygiene ratings from 0 (urgent improvement needed) to 5 (very good hygiene standards). Low ratings usually reflect significant problems in one or more of these areas, requiring prompt improvements.
