Harrow (Parliament Politics Magazine) – Harrow Online launches awards to celebrate local businesses, organisations, and eateries, for their contributions to the community and promoting excellence.
The public will cast all of the votes for the Harrow Online Awards, which will be an annual event. Only the Harrow Online Facebook group, which now has close to 50,000 members, will be used for voting.
In order to provide locals the opportunity to support the establishments and locations they value most, the first award category will be unveiled soon.
The purpose of the awards is to honor local companies’ accomplishments while showcasing their services and community service commitments.
On March 22, 2025, the awards were revealed, and more information will likely be made public shortly. This covers the ceremony date, nomination procedures, and categories.
Founder of Harrow Online, Chris Mitchell, said:
“We’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time, and now feels like the right moment. Harrow is full of fantastic businesses, many of which are independently run and deeply rooted in the community.
These awards are about giving people the opportunity to recognise and celebrate them in a fun and engaging way. What makes this different is that every single vote will come from the public — it’s completely community-led, which is what Harrow Online has always been about.
The businesses that win these awards will know that they have been voted for by the people of Harrow and we look forward to sharing more info soon.”
The team is now seeking partners to participate in the Harrow Online Awards, which are available for sponsorship. Interested parties can get in touch with info@harrowonline.org.
