Ealing (Parliament Politics Magazine) – A 30-year-old man has died after a stabbing on Oaklands Road, Hanwell in Ealing. The incident occurred around 10:30 pm on February 10, 2025.
The man was declared dead immediately after the London Ambulance Service personnel and officers arrived.
In due time, a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
DCI Alison Foxwell, from Major Investigation Team 12, said:
“Our thoughts today are with the victim’s family and friends in light of this truly tragic event.
Local residents will see an increased number of officers in and around Hanwell while our investigative work is carried out.
I want to thank residents for their patience while this continues. I would ask anyone who was in the area of Oaklands Road, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to come forward to us.”
The police asked the locals if anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference CAD7176/10FEB25.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “A murder investigation has been launched after a fatal stabbing in Ealing.
Police were called at approximately 22:30hrs on Tuesday, 10 February, to reports of a man found with stab wounds outside an address in Oaklands Road, Hanwell.
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended, but despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, officers believe the victim was in his 30s.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.”
What measures are being taken to ensure public safety in Hanwell?
The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is conducting high-visibility patrols to help provide reassurance and discourage criminal activity. In hotspot areas, plainclothes patrols are also employed.
Enforcement measures, such as fines, Community Protection Notices, arrests, and prosecutions, are being implemented against repeat offenders.
Outreach teams are working together to evaluate the needs of repeat offenders and offer assistance with housing and alcoholism. To help, disperse, and clear the streets, the police and Ealing Council are collaborating closely.
Concerns over antisocial behaviour, such as open drug use, public intoxication, and public defecation, were discussed with area residents by the Ealing Council and the local police.
